'Lift Your Skinny Fists Like Antennas to Heaven' is an introduction to a new artist and genre for me, overall i feel a good way to describe this album is like a progressive rock piece that just keeps on going, raising anticipation for a climactic moment. To put it into words, Lateralus is genuinely one of the most original, and beautifully crafted pieces of music I've heard. It wouldn't be ridiculous to say TOOL have invented their own genre here. As their magnum opus, Lateralus combines the raw anger and energy from TOOL's earlier albums with the more mature, and soothing sound off of their later records to make their music work, and it works well.
