its very clear see the influencesof bands like Testament, Exodus and Kreator in the "new wave"of Thrash like Municipal and Power Trip, more evidently than the fucking Metallica.
be part of the process makes so much easier to love our hate something
in this piece of art specially the felling is FUCKING LOVE
The first really one man project from Quorthon and the first Bathory album with the classical style that will grow later, inside the black metal not in the viking way.
Reminds me so much Sepultura before Beneath`s era.
I dont know why.
With a touch of Gabriel Doom Style
Due to the prominence of the superband title, Gojira's first two wonderful albums are often forgotten. Perhaps this first one still needs to polish the production, common for debuts, and a greater inspiration from Mario. But it's a disc. Deliverence continues to be a BUNCH OF RIFFS.
I'm not a great connoisseur of the band, but the bass and kick drum sound is near perfection. Lucky to have found it.
There`s no other rate than the maximum to this masterpiece
i love how all the record is based in just two minornotes
dm and em
its so simple
but it`snot
They usually criticize this album for the lack of speed and excess of groove. But, I believe they managed to unite this groove well, the problem is so many disposable songs among great songs
In the Dissection-type bands that emerge from Black Metal, many get good songs but few get real originality. Outlaw gets both.
it's completely insane to think that a hardcore band managed to embrace hiphop/rap so well. And, in my point of view License to ill is still a little more immature than the masterpiece Pauls Boutique. However, it manages to deceive the mainstream with its loaded sarcasm that was forever martyred in the hit "Fight..." and surpass any standard of "parody music"
dont know why
but scream "NAUSEAAA" in the top of my lungs is one the greatest sensations in the world
just Hellhammer and Sarcofago`s "INRI" can get this level of evilness in the sound
