PinkPantheress - Heaven knows
75

Don’t listen to this type of music too often, so it was a nice change of pace. I really like the style of music she’s going for, with exception to the few sections focused on British rap. Besides that, overall was pretty solid.

Aries - GLASS JAW
85

Might be my favorite Aries album so far. I really like the slightly more folk direction he took this time, it works well.

Mac DeMarco - This Old Dog
90

I really love albums that just a vibe to listen to and this one really nails it. Every song is so calming to listen to and the lyrics really round out the songs.

hard life - life’s a beach
50

Already liked nightmares, but the rest of the album definitely doesn't hold up as much. The style of music they're going for is hit or miss at points and I wasn't a big fan of the lyrics in many of the songs. A few decent songs here and there, but mostly a miss for me. Nightmare was probably the main exception to this, since I really think their style of music and lyrics came together here and really worked.

Childish Gambino - Camp
50

Definitely has the element that made his later albums good, but this album just wasn't that great. Most of the songs were either forgettable or bad, with only a few songs that were all that good.

wave to earth - 0.1 flaws and all.
78

Such a relaxing album to listen to. All the songs are produced to have this really peaceful at times atmosphere to them that's really nice. Some of the songs feel a bit too similar, but it was still good regardless.

Bring Me The Horizon - POST HUMAN: SURVIVAL HORROR
85

Been a while since I've listened to Bring Me The Horizon, but this album really reminded me why I liked them so much. I'm not usually the type to be into metal, but they always make it work for me. The song with BABYMETAL was especially good.

Childish Gambino - Because the Internet
84

Definitely feels hit or miss at times, especially in the middle with his more experimental stuff, but I'd say his style landed more often here compared to his most recent album. The greater focus on rap seemed to work more for me as a whole, especially with songs like 3005. Not to say his more hip hop focused songs in his recent album are bad, but the songs were way more hit or miss for me in comparison.

twenty one pilots - Breach
78

Never been a big Twenty One Pilots listener, having only heard their more popular songs, but I definitely like the direction they with in this album. I liked the more unique style of rock they were going for here compared to their more popular stuff. The ending few tracks weren't anything that crazy, but the rest of the album was pretty great.

Childish Gambino - Bando Stone and The New World
70

The wide range of Childish Gambino's music really produces some real highs and real lows. Going from H3@RT$ W3RE M3@NT TO F7¥ to Lithonia is some crazy whiplash. Thought it was still a pretty solid album despite this.

Jon Bellion - FATHER FIGURE
87

I really liked the style of music he's going for here, especially compared to the more AJR/electric style from his previous albums. It's a nice change of pace, especially with songs like WASH and GET IT RIGHT.

Aries - BELIEVE IN ME, WHO BELIEVES IN YOU
70

Don't think I liked it as much as "WELCOME HOME", but it was still a pretty solid album. I definitely liked the vibe of a lot of the songs, but many of them blended together for me.

STARSET - Vessels
77

I really liked the mixture of electronic and heavy metal across this album, reaching a pretty good balance of the two genres. The 1st half of the album was especially good. The 2nd half had some highlights, but a lot of the songs were blending together for me.

Tyler, The Creator - DON'T TAP THE GLASS
67

Can see what he was going for here, especially with songs like "I'll Take Care of You" or "Ring Ring Ring", but you can definitely tell the album was rushed out, with one of the songs feeling like filler. Many songs also just weren't doing much for me.

Soggy Biscuit - Why So Serious?
10

Just a work of art. From the catchy lyrics of Freakmunks to the masterful vocals of Acapella, this album never ceased to disappoint. This has set a high standard for what all albums should achieve.

Breaking Benjamin - Phobia
88

Being awhile since I listen to their other album Dear Agony and I definitely appreciate their music much more now. Not sure this had peaks as high as the other, but I really liked many of the songs: specifically Dance With The Devil and Breath.

Tyler, The Creator - CHROMAKOPIA
85

Been a while since I last listened to an album and this was a great one. Never listened to Tyler, The Creator before, but I really loved the atmosphere he creates with his songs here and the unique sound bits he incorporates.

Submarine Man - Palace of Feet
0

This album emotions I haven't felt in decades. Nothing bring out the tears like "On The Prowl" can. This is honestly one of the most thought provoking albums of the past century and YOU are missing out if you haven't listened to this masterpiece.

jschlatt - A Very 1999 Christmas
77

For an album made by a content creator, this is one of the best in recent memory. Schlatt vocals are especially a highlight here and fit the tone of most of the songs very well. The only song I thought sounded strange was "Baby, It's Cold Outside", but this had nothing to do with Schlatt's vocals and had more to do with the background vocals. I also had to deduct a few points for what Schlatt did to that poor family in 1999. Otherwise, I honestly can see myself probably ... read more

Kendrick Lamar - GNX
82

Despite great songs like "luther (wtih sza)" or "tv off(feat. lefty gunplay), I don't think this quite reaches the peaks of some of Kendricks other albums. I still thought GNX was pretty good regardless.
