Yeah this shit could really be titled as "Views 2". He makes zero attempt to try and make something interesting on this one. The beats are incredibly bland, I almost can't believe this is the same dude who made If You're Reading This It's Too Late
Drake rapping is OK but his flows are so incredibly boring it's impossible to listen to for more than a minute. And don't even get me started on the singing.
The features are genuinely ass too, fucking Future is ... read more
Yeah nah this shit coulda stayed in the vault icl. Unlike Von's last two albums, I can't think of a SINGLE song on here that I actually liked. Most of the shit here is just straight disrespectful to Von (not like he deserves respect anyways cuz he was a serial killer).
Thankfully, now that Lil Durk is in prison there's no chance OTF makes another record under the King Von name.
Surprisingly not a bad posthumous drop. Usually when music comes out after a rapper dies it's just straight ASS so it's good to see Lil Durk & Co. at least somewhat cared to make a proper record with King Von's unreleased stuff. Kinda falls off in the second half but otherwise still good.
Pretty OK tape, lots of good songs but it's pretty clear he had some more work to put in to lock down his rapping ability.
One of the best drill projects ever made. King Von's rapping is on point throughout this entire record. The beats are alright but the rapping more than makes up for it. Absolute bangers on this shit like Armed & Dangerous, Mine Too, The Code, Why He Told, Back Again, All These, How It Go, Wayne's Story, etc. This album easily clears anything Lil Durk ever put out. It's just really sad that it took like 6 people being personally executed by bro for him to make this music. Too ... read more
Don't know how but it was 3 years since my last listen of Reasonable Doubt, I last listened in mid-2023. Anyways, this album is as fantastic as I remember. The beats are somehow ahead of their time, some of JAY-Z's best songs on here like Brooklyn's Finest, Dead Presidents II, Feelin' It, D'Evils, Can I Live II. The features also bring out the best of this album, Biggie, Memphis and Jaz go toe for toe with Jay as well as Mary J and Mecca killing the choruses for their ... read more
Aren't these the guys on all the clipse records 🤔
Why tf Pharrell on every single damn song on this record. It's literally almost perfect if it weren't for his ahh sitting in the back ruining the song half of the time
Bro really thought he'd be the next Diddy 🤦🏽 Just shut yo hoe ass up and make some beats Pharrell 😭
Genuinely FUCK KANYE for making Nas put this fucking shit out. If you ever do any research about how this album came about you will be OUTRAGED. Kanye essentially forced Nas to record for this album in less than 4 days thinking he'd pull off a 2Pac and make an instant classic or something like that. It got so bad that they were recording on the way to the listening party. For Kanye to call himself a Nas fan and yet sabotage him like this... simply indescribable

This album is up there with Reasonable Doubt for me. It's kind of ironic actually because JAY-Z made Reasonable Doubt as his first and only album to help kickstart his label whereas with The Black Album, he was making it as the last album he would ever make. The songs on this one are ridiculously good and just peak JAY-Z. The production is also just peak in so many ways, every beat feels purposeful and selected for this stage of his career. Out of his entire catalog this is the one LP of ... read more
This album is kind of a hard sell now that I've gone back to it recently. On one hand, there are so many bangers like Git Up, Loyalty, My Band, How Come, 6 In the Morning, 40 Oz, etc.
But on the other hand these guys didn't do SHIT to make themselves appealing in any sort of way with the songs that didn't feature Eminem. And that's the recurring theme for basically the entire D12 catalog. I'm having a tough time naming songs that don't feature Eminem from this ... read more
Yeah if I was part of Future's team back in the day I woulda sequenced the joints on this deluxe in the actual album rather than adding it as a deluxe, esp since deluxes would basically become worthless around this time because of streaming. Every song on the deluxe is just amazing and some of the best songs Future has ever made. Only thing I could realistically complain about is this diddyblud yapping too much on "Kno Tha Meaning" he should've lowkey just fit it into the ... read more
I'm genuinely shocked that people on this website like this album considering how much this album sounds like regular old gangster rap from the era. The contemporary reviews are all so low for G-Unit too.
That said, I love this album as well. So many hard tracks I used to bump all the time when I was first getting into rap music around 7 years ago. Songs like G-Unit, Poppin' Them Thangs, My Buddy, Stunt 101, Beg For Mercy, G'd Up and I Smell Pussy go incredibly hard. Everyone ... read more
