the reason Yves differs from K-pop's overrall vibe is, in my opinion, due to her willingness to be real. she feels every word she sings, prioritizing emotion and depth over commercial success. I can't connect with idols' projects most of the time as they feel more focused on squeezing the money out *KATSEYE* than doing anything meaningful, but 'NAIL' proves there are some exceptions:

i will forever regret not listening to this sooner. she scratches a very specific part of my brain, the one that fantasizes about the future (going out every night, meeting new people in new places, making music and hopefully making it big too) while reminiscing about those years where everything felt solvable. long walks, birthday parties with piñatas, christamas with the whole family, etc. things i'll never live through again.
