If I had to pick a word to describe „𝐔𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐑𝐮𝐠 𝐒𝐰𝐞𝐩𝐭“ it would be 'growth', as this is the main theme of this album in my opinion. For those who once felt trapped in a relationship & felt the ship sinking while still being on it… this is your album. Alanis gives such a specific & intimate insight on her thoughts here once again & it makes me speechless how this is 20 years old. In an interview she said „It’s so ... read more
Despite it‘s stretched-out 90 minute length, the clever production & the tongue-in-the-cheek kind of songwriting really caught my attention, as this album feels entirely misplaced along Mileys other albums - but in the best way possible. „𝐇𝐚𝐢𝐫𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐓𝐨𝐲𝐬“ is such a chilled down album, that yet holds a really special form of tension through out it‘s entire tracklist. „𝐇𝐚𝐢𝐫𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐓𝐨𝐲𝐬“ is elegant, it‘s clever & it‘s cohesive in it‘s appearance. Lyrically we get many different topics & ideas presented in such a poetical kind of way. One thing I am never ever getting bored of, is how Roisin mixed up Disco with ... read more
„𝐑𝐞𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝“ is another prime example where the aesthetic, cover & vinyl pressing fits perfectly to the sound of the songs ♥️! There‘s no way you can listen to this album & not immediately get all the red feelings spinning in your head.
Compared to what she‘s done before „𝐑𝐞𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝“ feels a lot more Pop-inspired, despite it mainly being written on the piano. Thanks to Stella Mozgawa (who is the drummer of ... read more
