Time to review some of my favorite albums of all time. Starting with my #1. This will be a VERY biased review.
My fascination for Flying Lotus' work goes back before the pandemic, around the time I was just starting to go to college. It was 2018-2019, and I had just gotten access to a Spotify account, where I could access anything I wanted to. Over time, I started gravitating towards the weirder, more abstract and at times jazzy side of hip-hop. Artists like Madlib, Karriem Riggins and ... read more
All Edge, No Point: THE ALBUM!

I've been a Peggy fan since I got a listen of Veteran back in 2018. Ever since then, I have been amazed and inspired by his unique approach to production, as well as appreciated his sharp and aggressive lyrics with plenty of quotables. Each one of his albums have a distinct but consistent quality, and a runtime that feels tight, with no skips to be detected over the years.

His blend of pop, ... read more
Time has not been kind to the BEP. They went from being one of the most commercially successful hip-hop groups of the 2000's to becoming a relic of the past and (especially after their infamous Super Bowl half-time show) the butt of a joke. After that performance, and their subsequent spotty to downright dreadful releases (with an interesting return to their initial conscious hip-hop sound on "Master of the Sun Vol. 1"), it's safe to say the Black Eyed Peas had their ... read more
