Somehow Quad realized and improved his style even more since IDMTHY, and that's saying something, considering how amazing that album was already. Production is absolutely insane, so crystal clear, yet dark at times, it just feels like every sound this album puts its hands on is done immaculately and with passion. Nothing is done half-heartedly. Beautiful.
Miley decides to drop her best album to date, at times stunningly gorgeous, with pristine production. A much better effort than her last.
This has some weird production choices and is generally Tyler's most confusing record, but also an important album for his growth artistically. I appreciate it more for that than for the actual listening experience.
I think it's a slight improvement over their last. The opener and closer are both the best tracks on the record imo, and everything in between is just mediocre, with one or two stinkers. Could have been worse.
So harrowing and heavenly at the same time. It really gives the vibe of an angel that has fallen, and now wants to share its despair with the world.
It's bloated and inconsistent, but there are some bangers on here that as of right now, I'm playing on repeat a lot. That being said, this is his weakest album so far, mainly due to a lot of fat that could have been cut.
Mid, subpar, and unimaginative. It's rehashing the same old UK Drill ideas over again. At least back when he made Loading he had some personality.
A weird listen (though surprisingly normal for Can's standards), but it's incredibly well-performed and well-written. If you don't have peabrain patience and can take a bit of weirdness it's a good listen.
One of my favourite synth-pop albums. It's dark, has phenomenal and incredibly crisp production, which is textured beyond belief.
Killer stuff from start to finish, a staple and genre-definer in thrash metal.
Even with a couple of filler tracks towards the end, this is some of the most fun I've had with any Trippie Redd album. Might be his last solid record ever if he continues the dogwater streak he's been on lately.
First of all, fuck this cover. It's disrespectful and trash. Luckily the album perfectly fits the cover, because it's complete drivel and a total disservice to what Juice has done musically throughout his career. It's just a bunch of half-baked songs and song ideas that the label decided to smack onto an album. Disgusting.
Look it's Kendrick and it's great, but I feel like because of the relative brevity I just like this a bit less than Mr Morale and even DAMN. But might grow on me still, because it has enough bangers.
I really wanted to give this a big proper review, but since only 4 out of 10 tracks are good (Being Emptiness Machine, Heavy is the Crown, Two Faced, and IGYEIH) imma give this a big ol' 4/10. And it's not Emily Armstrong's fault.
Well congrats to this record for getting the worst and most digustingly ignorant review from Fantano ever, and also for being Halsey's best album so far in my opinion. "Lonely is the Muse" is probably her best song.
Tyler, the Creator breaks his odd-year album streak with CHROMAKOPIA, a record that is at the same time messy and tightly conceptual. It presents different sounds and sides of Tyler, with some soulful chops, some bangers, and some really experimental shit that sees him exploring new sounds. It also harbors some very personal storytelling and great production. Might grow on me a bit more, as of right now I think it's not quite on the level of the trilogy of albums that came before this.
