Feels like the darker, evil cousin of his first album. Born Sinner is solid. His lyrics were better on SS imo.

Another project that proves Kendrick was at his peak at the start of his career. It’s good tho, but nothing will ever match GKMC. He’s rapping with energy a lot of the time, but there are some more laid back songs that let the great production carry.

In some parts there is great production, rapping, and social commentary, and everything you usually know Kendrick Lamar for. But at some points it honestly gets kinda boring in my opinion. The message of the album is the star in some songs, but in others makes it feel heavy and kinda ruins the song. Maybe I’m just hating, or maybe there isn’t a good way to justify how I feel about this project, but it is in my opinion, overrated🤷‍♂️.

My dad recommended this, and it’s actually pretty good. The instruments are great, and I especially liked New Madrid.
