this album is an incredible debut self named album from the bluesy rock band dire straits. its amazing. genuinely, from start to finish.
i did like this album, and its got an incredibly unique tone to it. but i do feel as though most of it was rlly mushy and samey. there wasn't a lot of differentiation between songs. probably worth a relisten at some point.
really solid album. I really enjoyed it despite the fact the genre isn't my main sorta cup of tea yk. Some of the songs were such high energy 'I'm the best fuck everyone else' type music and I really resonated with that right now. Good shit. best song was von dutch or talk talk.
i can actually really appreciate this album and some of the tracks still stand today despite being released before tylers discography had matured more. really solid tracklist and story
this was honestly solid. i think a lot of the songs fall off quick and lack steam. it also all sounds a bit samey. but some of the songs are good.
maybe its due a more attentive relisten but i really didnt like this album. dont get me wrong some songs were so fire but some just werent hitting for me.
holy shit this album is ass. I wish i could rate it lower but it still has an overall (ish) radiohead charm. But the tracklist is so disjointed and unsure of itself I could probably find noise albums that sound better. It's 34 minutes of shit tbh. the best song is probably seperator and the worst is feral.
As much as I want to give this album a higher rating. It's hard to when there is SOOOO many misses on this track. Some of the songs are genuine dookie cheeks and its a tough listen at points. however songs like 2 + 2 = 5, Sit Down, Stand Up, I will and Myxomatosis redeem the album a decent bit.
this album is certainly one of pavements weaker albums. definitely better than slanted and enchanted imo. still a banger tho
holy mother of frick bruh. Not my first listen but definitely my first PROPER listen. I really paid attention to the lyrics and story and it made a lot more sense. Especially mortal man. Lovely album with great storytelling aswell as some stand alone bangers like alright and Wesley’s theory. Hell yeah.
so underrated and rarely talked about in Kendrick’s discography. Surprised me how good it was.
gord muffucking damn fiona appeltown ts was fire. deadass such a good albujm jesus christ
"You are the light. It's not on you, it's in you, don't you ever in your motherfucking life, dim your light for nobody."
CHROMAKOPIA is a fantastic album. its not my first listen but it was my first proper sit down listen where i rated and considered each song carefully. its a fantastic and very emotionally truthful entry into tylers discography and a great listen. some of the production on some of the songs is fantastic (specifically in thought i was dead). this album was...fine. the bangers that were bangers were BANGING. but a lot of this album just felt really forgettable. i didnt leave this album with any songs that BLEW me away or were catchy enough to get annoyed by how often id be humming them. I get that it was his first kinda more serious album in his career and a maturing of tyler but it was just okay for me. no where near as good as igor or dttg.
EDIT (01/05/26): just like igor. this album took another listen to realise it was gas. its ... read more
This album was good fun. I listened to the test press cd version, idk if its different from the spotify release but yeah. Nonetheless, this album was interesting to me. I wouldnt say its tyler's best but its definitely good fun. It does its job well: increase body movement. Fav song is either sugar on my tongue or sucka free.
yo yo yo!! this album was sick asl. it was another oxfam w with this one. cant even find ts on spotify so. it was fantastic.
