In all honesty, echoing sentiments felt by other reviews, I thought this album would be a lot of nothing going into it. The cover didn't inspire confidence, and the recent climb has felt rather sluggish in style, but I wasn't going to not give this album its chance, and I will say it is rather worth the effort.
I felt this album carried quite a bit of that Older Roots Manuva, while also somewhat channeling stuff from Awfully Deep. It felt less Slime, and that was a definite plus for ... read more
I will admit, the start of this album did not grab me at all. "Damn Door" was not a song I personally enjoyed comparatively, and I quickly started falling off after "Cry."
There was something missing from those early songs, and while I am unsure if I just wasn't in the mood for it early on, or if I really did personally dislike those early tracks, I don't know as of this moment. However, It was after "Viva Discordia" where I got more in than ever.

There were tracks, obviously, that I felt were quite great, and ... read more
The first thing I can comment on might not even be on the record itself, but rather the mixing. I'm not sure if perhaps I obtained it with bad mixing, or if it was a choice to have the vocals be so low on the actual track volume. Either way, much like my review over the Misfits first album, that did tank the performance a little bit.
In other senses, the music was rather all over the place in best of terms. It seemed like they were trying quite a few things, and usually I am a fan of ... read more
