If you seriously think this is "avant-prog", you probably haven't listened to any prog rock outside of a couple 70s classics. Listen to Henry Cow, Massacre, hell, even Van Der Graaf Generator. The Mars Volta are more avant-garde than this ffs.

Of all the Windmill Scene bands to hype over, you guys chose this one? Seriously?

BCNR are an entertaining jam band overseen by the most irritating vocalist I have the displeasure of listening to. And that's coming from someone who likes David Thomas and Geordie Greep.
