Turning to AI for a new lyrical perspective, the band’s sixth album brings together phrases from Beowulf, 4chan, the teachings of Confucius and the complete terms and conditions of LinkedIn.
Through a dizzying blend of experimentation, innovation and stylistic idiosyncrasy Everything Everything have created another peerless record with Raw Data Feel, one which proves once more that the horizons the band chases are theirs and theirs alone.
It’s possibly their most immediate offering to date—a deceptively breezy 54 minutes jam-packed with hooks—but musical and lyrical depth abounds.
They’ve earned constant comparisons over the years with the likes of Metronomy and Bloc Party, but Raw Data Feel proves that when it comes to experimental indie-rock, Everything Everything are in a league of their own.
In attempting to circumvent the human mind, Everything Everything have found their heart, and made their finest album yet.
This band have nevertheless injected human warmth into this captivating record which blends futuristic disco-pop, electronic soul and atmospheric rock.
The band's most conceptual project to date, as well as their best since Get to Heaven.
Peppered with Star Trek references, meme humor, and lyrics generated by an AI trained on Beowulf and 4Chan, the English band’s sixth album is its nerdiest yet.
Bowing Down to Our Robotic Overlords - "Raw Data Feel" by Everything Everything
Everything Everything aren’t just anything. They really are everything, at least on their newest musical venture Raw Data Feel.
Exhibiting a tight concept about the troubling future of humankind, the record makes the listener feel like they’re on a dance floor at an apocalypse party. Everybody around you knows the dark fate of the human race, but there’s a nostalgic, bittersweet sense ... read more
Album of the Year 2022.
Seven years ago, Everything Everything won me over with the way their abstract lyrics discussed grand matters and issues without sounding cliché over interesting production. Sometimes you found them talking about global warming and deforestation, sometimes the subject was the West's foreign policy, other times how it bites them back with terrorism... Sure, they talked about those things, but their music (at least to me) was always as much about humans as their ... read more
EE’s newest album is ironically everything I wanted from this band after loving their “Get to Heaven” album! Production is almost just as phenomenal as GTH, with tracks like “Teletype” and “Metroland Is Burning” having some incredible moments with great grooves and great vocals and lyrics! I also loved the general aesthetic of this album, with the whole AI taking over the world kinda storyline it takes on, it sounds really damn cool! This album was just ... read more

god this album just makes me miss this era of AI, back when it was no more than a bit of a technical marvel/shitshow and basically a gimmick. for context for those concerned, this album only uses AI for it's cover, some song names and lyrics (jon estimated around 10% of the lyrics are partially or fully AI-generated), but AFAIK, every single bit of music is human made. and like i said, this is nearly 4 years old, the AI they used for this album is NOT the same ones in 2026 generating ... read more
This album is full of great hooks that I constantly seem to get stuck in my head. I love the message and how cohesive everything feels. There is a section in the tracklist that slightly dips in quality (shark week->hex) but even these songs are pretty solid.
