When it comes to a group like Everything Everything, being taken aback is par for the course.

The 405
Man Alive will not be to everyone's tastes, but for those who like daring and original music, complete with incredible vocals and harmonies, it will be considered a bit of an oddball masterpiece.

The Fly
A captivating, thrilling listen from start to finish

DIY

Deserving of a space in any music retailer or lovers discography.

AllMusic
While their influences are obvious, they've pieced them together in such a stylish and creative way that it's difficult to deny that they've accomplished what they set out to achieve.

NME

Get off that sofa and stub out your joint; Manchester's new breed just made ideas and ambition sexy again.

God Is in the TV

Man Alive certainly isn't the perfectly crafted album some critics are lauding it as but it does show incredible potential.

The Guardian
The Manchester-based quartet really do throw everything, but everything, at their music in a laudable bid to sound unique.

Man alive is fun as fuck, catchy has some great sounding moments and overall is a solid debut album. Higgs voice complements this really well and his ability to switch his range is unmatched
