Never listened to Allt and I think this song wasn't the best introduction not gonna lie ðŸ˜. I thought this band was very heavy, I didn't expect the usual boring Thall + cleans... maybe their other material is better, I remember their debut album got a lot of attention in 2024 so I'll check it out. Anyway the song, like I said, boring. Nothing to talk about man, just your typical Thall "riffs" and some cleans that aren't all that memorable, some parts are kinda ... read more
I'm gonna be honest, I never understood the hype for this band. And yeah, seems a pretty hypocrite thing to say considering I gave Thrown high ratings but I just like their style of Metalcore more than Half Me's. The song isn't offensively bad but, I don't remember much after 3 listens it's all chugging but bad chugging. When I saw the album cover I thought "well maybe this single will make me like them more, seems like a new era for the band!" yeah no if ... read more
Like I said on my The Way It Ends review I kinda prefer this album more than The Way It Ends, as I feel this album is an evolution from their previous album. But that's not all the reason why I prefer this one, I really like the vibe of this album, like it sounds apocalyptic, dramatic (sometimes) and very oppressive sometimes, no idea if that's the correct word but that's what I feel listening to this one! But, yes, the album is still generic, as generic as The Way It Ends. It is ... read more
Lowkey, might be their best song in a while. These two last EPs have been completely boring with only one good song in both of them but this one is kinda fun! It's still generic but it has energy. Hopefully they keep it up for their next single, if I'm not mistaken they changed clean vocalist.
STARSET are one of my favorite bands, I firmly believe they are one of the most insanely good bands in the whole rock/alt metal scene and extremely underrated in the grand scheme of the rock/metal genre. Their debut, Transmissions, is straight up magical, but also kinda rough sometimes. Riffs are on point, production sounds great and the album itself is very unique, but Dustin here kinda sounds a bit rough, not bad, but he was finding his footing with STARSET that's for sure (he already ... read more
Wait, hold on. Their writting is fire????? Vianova is a band that since they blew up around late 2024 and early 2025 I wanted to check out, I mean a lot of people were saying how insane they were. And, lowkey, IT LIVES UP TO THE HYPE. Kinda. Look the album is very sick, forward thinking and unique but like it's not the best Metalcore album of the decade like I saw some dudes say nor was it the best album of 2025 imo, it's pretty overproduced and you know that kinda sucks but ignoring ... read more
I didn't do a review of this banger apparently, my bad. Well whatever here it is! Invent Animate are back! What an insane year for Metalcore ngl. And I know for a fact my boys over here are dropping an album too, something tells me October 2026... the song tho, yeah, amazing. It's Invent Animate they make bangers of course they do. This single sees them making a move into Thall and well, not the biggest fan of Thall BUT THEY MADE IT WORK!! Hype is real, very much real, curious to see ... read more
Ngl, this album is kinda overrated. I get why people like it, yeah I do, it's accessible and simple but it doesn't really hit as hard as other Current's albums. Matter of fact, I actually prefer The Death We Seek a lil bit more over this one, both are generic but The Death We Seek felt like an evolution from this one. But is the album bad? NOOOO it isn't, it literally has the best Currents song on it bro, Better Days is absolutely INSANE what a beautiful song. And it also ... read more
As expected, I really dig this new Boundaries song but I kinda prefer the other singles. It's definitely a weird one but I think the clean vocals are used in a way that doesn't feel annoying, if I had to guess this is the equivalent of Easily Erased from the previous album, you know, with the beautiful chorus and what not. I mean lowkey, this new album is shaping up to be one of their bests, might be an underrated addition to their discography that gets praised years down the line.
I'M BACK. Finally I feel like doing more short but honest reviews, so I decided to review one of the albums that has carried me through this past few months cause damn, it's really good. I mean this album is everything I love about Architects! Crazy fun riffs, beautiful lyrics, pure emotion, so damn good. Architects were so goated that a bunch of bands in the mid 2010's tried to copy their style and well, most of them kinda failed. And I know many people blame them for the ... read more
Why? Why would they do this? Their debut single was actually really solid with a lot of interesting moments but then they decide to drop this, whatever this song is. And that "breakdown" feels extremely forced and didn't made the song any better. Sucks that they went this route for their second single.
I'll be fully honest, Northlane is a band I always wanted to check but I never really did, just never got to it but I saw they released this new single so I decided to listen to it and damn... have I been missing out? This sounds super good, it reminds me of I See Stars a lot! It's also a very energetic song like damn it's refreshing. I will check out more Northlane soon, probably.
I am actually slightly dissapointed with this EP and I didn't expect that. Why? Well because SONG OF THE SWAMP was actually a pretty decent Wage War song, yeah it was your typical octanecore heavy song but it was fun and I kinda expected this EP to sound like that. Instead this EP decided to go on a very VERY safe "heavy" sound that just feels forced, like Purify for example, that song sounds like it was made to farm clips with the breakdown "IS THIS THE HEAVIEST BREAKDOWN ... read more
I AM LOATHING IT, I AM LOATHING IT SO GOOD!!
Loathe are FINALLY back, and I'll have to be completely honest, I had to listen to the song a few times for it to click... but it did, oh it absolutely did. I am loving this direction Loathe is taking this Industrial Metalcore fusion is simply too good. They showed this in Gifted Every Strength with that guitar tone and I am VERY glad they are doubling down. Plus this song features NOWHERE2RUN aka Code Orange, it's very fitting. Final note: ... read more
As I said on my previous TDWP review, it only gets better and this is proof of it. Plagues is, in my completely humble opinion, a super iconic album of the scene it has everything that made metalcore so loved (and hated) so it also has a lot of influence, now is that influence good or bad? Well it depends, I think it's mostly good! Now the album itself isn't all that crazy but the riffs are solid, the breakdowns are devastating and the vocals are really good! The production is also ... read more
I'm finally gonna start reviewing one of my all time favorite bands, maybe it will be influenced by bias but I'll try to be as unbiased as possible so I'm gonna start with their debut! And well, it is a rough start BUT not a horrible album, it's just a bit mid. There are some really iconic songs here so I can't hate but yeah man, it sounds really rough, but the band does get WAY better from here.
Just like the last single, this is amazing, but I would even say this one IS better as they do a few more things with the guitar, the clean vocals are as good as always, not overused and doesn't out of place. Even if this song has cleans tho I kinda feel it's heavier, but maybe that's me. Anyway the new album will be GOATED I'm not sure if maybe better than Death Is Little More but like, beating that will be hard.
I am back from my break of posting reviews because I didn't know what to review lol, anyway decided to write reviews for both the new Boundaries singles and damn... I get the production isn't for everyone, but I'd be lying if I didn't loved it, it's just so GOOD, really apocalyptic, chaotic.
Considering that BMTH are going to drop a remastered version of this album I decided to re-listen to it after a few years without really listening to it other than Pray For Plagues and it's still is decent. It is raw, it is fun and has some sick riffs but there's really nothing that makes me want to come back to this album other than the already mentioned Pray For Plagues.
