THERE'S A BOMB IN MY CAR!!
Unique but tense. That's how I will describe the instrumentation of this album. Love the new krautrock sounds but still musically rich. Also, can't forget the passionate vocal performance by Cameron Winter. Solid output nonetheless. Favourite tracks are Long Island City Here I Come, Trinidad and Getting Killed.
Lush, dreamy and haunting,3 words I would associate this album with. There was some good guitar playing and nice harmonica. Some songs feel shoegazey, even such as Still Cold, Roseblood and Happy. The highlights of the album were Sandoval's gentle voice and poetic lyricism with tracks like All Your Sisters and Happy. This album would be great to be played when my mental health deteriorated, for sure. Favourite tracks are Happy, Disappear and Still Cold.

However, this album also is filled with many experimental tracks that make this album feel bloated. Therefore, for me this album can't seem to capture the same feelings as ... read more
From the start of the album when I heard the intro "Pulp in Love", I was wondering, whose idea to start the album like that, that groovy basslines could kill a Victorian child. This album has very diverse songs, some are slow acoustic songs, some are dreamylike city-pop songs, some songs put heavy emphasis on synths, reminds me of Passion Pit, and some are shoegazey even. Some songs give me boredom tho. Favourite tracks are Hana-bi,Pulp in Love and She is the woman in your life.
60s pop yeh yeh going strong even in the 2020s (technically this album released in 2017 but who cares). The instrumental is immaculate, many songs sound catchy and fun, little emphasis put on the bass, groovy af. Lyricism is great, backed by Ali's relaxed delivery. However this album is too consistent in its sound to the point where it gets repetitive at the end,but the songs are still executed well. In the end, this album is a breath of fresh air in Malaysia's indie music scene at its ... read more
