I can't even say how many times I've tried to get into this album, usually giving up after about 5 songs, which is funny as the first 5 songs are for the most part the most easily accessible. I think I finally fucking get it now.

Back as a teen I never really understood Kid A. I UNDERSTAND KID A. Perhaps it was the fact it's the first album after Ok Computer and I was wanting more of that, or maybe my taste wasn't broad enough to appreciate this, or maybe it was just not the right time. It really is that good isn't it.
It's just one of those albums that you don't want to end. A really funny statement considering how incredibly depressing this entire thing is. There's a few glimmers of hope here and there but they can be hard to see.
The whole thing really was, and still is, groundbreaking. It can definitely be a hard listen hearing Thom Yorke singing about how crap our modern society is for 50+ minutes but I think it's incredibly balanced with just how beautiful everything ... read more

I just listened to this album in headphones with a glass of vodka and a full head of thoughts and have been trying to come up with something noteworthy to say about Some Rap Songs that would give even just a small glimpse into how special this project is and what it means to me.
