Black Sabbath - Paranoid

Holy fucking moly. Brutal as fuck lyricism and vocals on every track. Beautifully violent and bloody guitars, drumming, and bass. Purest representation of the spirit of rock. Addictive, manic, and powerfully dazing. Its influence stretches to all modern forms of punk, hard rock, psychedelia, and especially metal.

A lot of my music taste came from my early memories of Black Sabbath and Ozzy Osbourne as my grandpa who raised me was and is a massive fan and we were both very saddened at the news ... read more

Worst album I've ever heard. Every track except the first is emotionally draining, that's how horrible it is. Listening to this will actually ruin your day. Listening to this will make you feel like a 50 year old narcissist exclusively trying to get friends 30 years younger than them. Listening to this will make any other album more bearable. It's not funny it's not worth it. I could barely relisten to it to do this review. All of the songs are either completely horrible ... read more

Has its good moments, a couple great moments, a bad moment, and many average moments. Thom's amazing voice basically carries the album. Mostly sounds like 54-40, about ten years too late. Thom is at his cornballiest on this album so it's basically a more pretentious and less likeable Blue or a less competent and more annoying The Bends. You, Creep, and Blow Out are actually great tracks though.

Hype as fuck violent, versatile industrial punk rap with unlimited amounts of personality and edge, infinitely replayable.

As close to perfect as I think is possible. Her influence on music with this album is heard everywhere. Beautiful, fun, emotional, playful, interesting. One of the only albums I own on vinyl.

Note: Frosti is treated as an extended ending for Pagan Poetry so will get the same rating as it

Infinitely relistenable and perfect for anything. Amazing and engaging compositions.

Very stimulating trying to piece together a sound to this album while listening. The chaos comforts me

Crystal Castles - Crystal Castles (II)

About as good as 1 but not as addictive because the start is the weakest part of the album. So fucking good though. Also Alice finally gets to sing her sad emotional heart on actually really fucking good backings so that makes me happy.
