Bobbie has a selection of decent songs, but is let down by weak production and doesn’t have much to differentiate itself from a lot of other current indie music.
"great review; dan le sac & scroobius pip are interesting in that their legacy now seems to be this song and a very bad pitchfork review. i heard their first album and none of it really gelled with me, although i did enjoy this does it offend you yeah remix of a song off their second album https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EwvucPxCyC0. also, their name is always a nice little throwback to when collaborations would be labeled as "one artist vs another artist" haha"
"I dunno, I think Lovejoy have had more than enough time to find their niche, so to speak. They've already put out three widely publicised EPs and they're getting double the attention and resources a regular indie rock band would get at this stage in their career thanks in no small part to the existing popularity of their lead singer. If they're still spinning their wheels in the mud right now I don't have high hopes for their future release quality."
"that game in particular took a heavier influence from the edm scene as well as more pop rap (let it roll, us against the world) and the bulk of the indie was mostly along the lines of shimmer pop like st. lucia and early walk the moon"
