This LP is the shit. It's basically a peek of Vince's mind;he is forever thoughtful, abrupt and interesting. The only LPs in recent memory that rival this in terms of transcending mainstream hip-hop is Danny Brown's Atrocity Exhibition and Kendrick's To Pimp a Butterfly in my opinion. It won't win any new fans over but those who follow his discography will be pleasantly surprised.
Best Big Sean album up to date. Great production, confident and a cohesive record.
P.S. It's okay to like something that is not critically acclaimed.
You have to be in a certain state of mind to find this album's beauty but once you're in it you will feel your heart ache because of it's beauty. It's a very quiet masterpiece
Anybody with good hearing would find this album amazing. It's so rich and orchestral. His finest album yet
EL-P and Killer Mike have made a trilogy that was completely bonkers.
RTJ3 has beats that will hit you so hard you will fall over your seat and beats that are more subdued, emotional and thought-provoking. The lyrics are always fire whether they are braggadocio or socially conscious. There is never a flat moment.
To those asking if RTJ3 will be better than RTJ2, RTJ3 is a perfect sequel and one that is justifiable and necessary in its existence. It's a potent listen.

ATCQ jazz-rap sound is still relevant to this day which shows you how forward-thinking and experimental they were back in the day. This is the most cohesive rap album of the year, also a fitting tribute to Phife Dawg. It's like they were never gone.
I was avoiding this album because I did not want to jump on the bandwagon but I eventually gave in. It's a behemoth this thing. Beyonce uses her artistry and maturity to release a cathartic, R&B-fusion tour-de-force. It's worth a listen. I have a feeling it will be considered one of the decades best.
With heavy-weight collaborations and two hip-hop giants it still feels insignificant when held up against hip hop's classic albums.
Quite unnerving especially from the song Lazarus but a satisfying experiment from the legend. "Look up I'm in heaven".RIP
Neo-Soul at its finest. It's more fusion than outright neo-soul but with D'Angelo's artistry, this album has a solid foundation.
Benchmark album for hip hop. It grew on me and then when it finally hit me, it hit me hard. Everything about it is exceptional. K Dot has evolved to a remarkable artist. His socially conscious lyrics, the production and guest features are remarkable. It is better than GKMC because it challenges musically and thought wise. If you want party anthems, don't listen to this. If you want thought provoking and a more experimental LP, this is it.
This LP is dark and disjointed; It is where Ab-Soul needs to be and the bars are fire.
Experimental but also filled with soul this unusual album is Justin Vernon at his cryptic best. 715-CREEKS is insanely beautiful. It's like this album is uncovering beauty in remote and untouched areas.
