Why does Vulfpeck make me nostalgic for a musical era I'm very far from being born in? Answer: They're f@#king amazing that's why. I've never really had an affinity for funk or the groovy type music this album puts out but, here I am, playing this album over and over again.
This album is so...f@#king happy is the best possible way? I'm so genuinely confused as to how something this Pop-y and happy appeals and speaks to me considering my usual music tastes? AND WHY CAN'T I STOP SMILING FOR HOURS AFTER LISTENING TO THIS!?
Silver Lining and Say Amen got me on the album, High Hopes, Roaring 20s, and Dying in LA made me stay. All of the songs in-between are...not too bad? It's like a couple steps above mediocre but, a couple steps below good. They don't stand out to me. The 50-year-old gay-man in me isn't having it.
I mean, at least it's not Mania.

But, seriously, this album is mediocre and decent at it's best moments.
