Actually, unironically really good music. You may think I'm crazy but I swear some of these covers are legit better than the originals., and the Chipmunk original songs aren't half bad either. 'There's No Rock and Roll On Mars', 'The C Team', and 'It's a Jungle Out There' are some legitimately good album highlights. And their covers of 'Uptown Girl' and 'It's My Party' I think actually hold out against their original ... read more
By far my favorite Weezer release to date. It's everything I loved about Blue and Pinkerton with a modern summery vibe that I can not get enough of. It feels like if the Beach Boys went into their summer fun era in 2016 with a hint of, for lack of a better word, incel edge that I love so much in Rivers' material. This album truly makes me feel like a Californian loser who can't get any chicks but is a genius songwriter.
I went into this record hopefully optimistic but with low expectations regardless. My first listen, I did not like it. I thought it was fine but not what I wanted from a blink-182 album. Upon multiple relistens, it has grown on me a bit, but I still find it underwhelming as the return of one of my favorite bands of all time. What can I say. I was exceptionally blown away. I know I'm extremely late to the party, but I gave this album my first full listen through a couple weeks ago and I've been hooked ever since. Every time I listen to it, it only seems to get better. The melodies are catchy, the production is tight and punchy. I'd wager to say this is the best sounding record I've ever heard. Every single songs on it is a classic. Not a dull note to be found. If for whatever reason, you were like me and putting ... read more
I went into this album completely blind. I didn't listen to any of the pre-release singles or any snippets of any songs and this really, truly blew me away. This combines the best parts of all their albums and comes together to be something truly special. Production wise, this is also a huge step above their previous works. All around phenomenal work that proves Fall Out Boy still has what it takes.
