This is one of the best albums from Nu-Metals big three. *SOAD, LP, and KoRn* All the songs are bangers, but not all are memorable. Needles is easily the best song, amd Bounce is the only miss, and it's still a 6/10.
Why? Just, why? Most of this album is a poor imitation of what made the SSLP, MMLP, TES, and Relapse so good. It's all just cancel this and cancel that. These tracks are proof that Eminem is out of touch with his real fans. But I will give credit to Renaissance, Fuel, and Evil. Don't recommend, even to his most die hard fans.
The album is mostly mediocre. There are some stand out tracks like Godzilla, You Gonna Learn, Alfred's Theme, the second half of GNAT, and Discombobulated. But most of it is forgettable like Killer, Tone Deaf, and Step-dad. And some are pure shit like Little Engine and Marsh. Don't recommend past the first mentioned tracks.
Most of this album is spectacular. The beats are funky as hell, the lyrics are fun and well written, and most of the interludes are fun enough to not break the pace of the album unlike most. But track 13 ruins the pace and momentum. Luckily though, the last few tracks end the album on the same high note it began with. Easily a must here and a requirement for any rap fans physical collection.
The best album Linkin Park will ever put out. The story is amazing, the sounds are unique, and the vocals from Mike Shinoda and Chester Bennington are top notch.
