There are some great tracks on this, but the album gets a bit repetitive. Great if I'm looking for some background music to chill out to, just okay if I'm dedicating time to an album.
I wish I was cool and could say I knew who Kate Bush was before Stranger Things, but unfortunately I'm lame and discovered her through the show (and exclusively listened to "Running Up That Hill" for about a year or two before I listened to Hounds of Love and realized it was baller as hell). The only thing that could make this album funnier than it is would be The Laughing Gnome which is unfortunately nowhere to be found here. Bummer. At least this album is still laughably bad without it. So happy they let David Bowie have a career after this dismal effort.
I'm always excited to start a new Sparks album, but I was unfortunately more excited to finish this one. The production and vocals always feel at odds with each other, which is sad because the production here is great sometimes (sometimes doing some heavy lifting). A Little Bit Of Light Banter is the best track here, that feels like a classic Sparks track and perhaps the only one that I see myself going back to (though I do like My Devotion and Drowned In A Sea Of Tears as well).
