lord im greepin all over, youve been all over my mind for the past 2 hours thank you geordie greep
A fun and really silly album. Weird Al is the goat for making such nonsensical (for the most part) songs so enjoyable to listen to. Although I would like to say the hermaphrodite stuff can get pretty weird.
Wow production sounds so ass but so good, and the guy lmfao hes just screaming whatever ๐ญ. Not vey scary, not bad, but I wouldn’t call it good either, but damn is it kinda enjoyable. Like I would take a shit to this, I’d have this in the background while doing some work yk, it’s pretty good for that. There’s definitely some really cool moments, but also some pretty weird ones idk if i enjoy, like around the 2 minutes in there’s just this weird feedback-like ... read more
Warning... oh my god... where do I start...
I did a deep dive in to Warning a couple of days ago (atleast into their stuff thats on streaming as I did do some research and they have demos and stuff that are elsewhere), and they're my favorite band now pretty handily. The emotions conveyed through Patrick Walker's vocals are incredible, and the drumming and riffing works so well in conjunction. The first time I listened to Warning was in May, a mutual on Twitter recommended me a ... read more
A much needed respite thank you @tijdij on twitter, you are the goated unc. I needed to get out of my "writer's" block I've been meaning to write a review for my new favorite album of all time, but I just couldn't get the motivation, thank you Since I Left You by The Avalanches.
Anyways onto the actual album, the sampling is fucking incredible and it makes me feel so good in the inside, I feel genuinely happy listening, I haven't felt like this in forever. This is ... read more
It's like one of the best, if not the best metal song ever and it's a live and acoustic version, like how can you not love this. These versions are literally on par if not better than the original song off of Watching From A Distance, just what a perfect song oh god I love this band so much.
oh my god the queen is back with such a pretty single, i feel like i can die happy
A lot more dynamic than Watching From A Distance in vocals and sound, but I don't think I like it more. Like personally, it feels like it is missing something huge in comparison (probably emotional aspect as I feel WFAD's vocals and slow nature works so well in tandem with each other). Still, I love this so much it feels a lot more alive than WFAD (which imo isn't a bad thing for WFAD as I think it's meant to be as brutal as possible emotionally), although the emotional ... read more
It sounds like they're just doing whatever and are having fun with it, like it's pretty cool but also kinda ass. It got pretty repetitive and it sounds pretty muddy, but otherwise I think it's rather enjoyable.
This has been some of the most "normal" swans has been in a while, and damn I really enjoyed how pretty a lot of this was. Definitely much more laid back than some of their more grand ventures (like the previous trilogy and soundtracks) but it's still quite good, Swans can't miss I love them.
Feels very warm and comforting. It's a short and sweet album, a sound that really does fit its cover now that I think about it. This has been something that I've been meaning to listen to for a while based on a mutual's recommendation. Since then, I've been rather unsure if I would enjoy this album since it's cover is sort of amateurish if that's the right word, but my fears have been disproven, this is quite the album.
That outro had me tweaking, it’s so gooood. I don’t think they can miss, I think this album is gonna be the album of the year.
I went into this expecting a grand, bleak experience, but I was met with disappointment. It just didn't much excite me when it was like the same riff for each song, I thought there was gonna something more, I thought there was gonna be some sense of progression in each song but no I was let down by my own expectations. I thought it was cool but it bored me a bit. I get its influence as the grandfather of drone music but it just doesn't do much for me.
Another talented oomf….
A near 17 minute track that really bleeds peacefulness, and goddamn that last part is near transcendent.
