Biosphere’s Substrata might be the best first listen I have had with an ambient record ever.
The sound palette of this whole project can be best described as cold and grounded. I didn’t expect this to hit as much as it did but yeah, this was beautifully haunting.
The atmosphere of this album is something to be admired. It feels very bleak and fills me with this sense of hopelessness. There’s an underlaying sadness to it all and the minimalistic droning strings on ‘The Six Million Dollar Sandwich’ perfectly set up the rest of the album’s bleak and distant atmosphere.

Amazing blend of this noisy drone sound, there’s not a whole lot I can say than it’s an album everybody SHOULD listen to.
So,
This is by far, my least favorite Jpegmafia album. I feel there was so much that left me wanting more out of most of the tracks here. The singles we got out of this album are the best tracks on this album and not in a good way.

Pop is an experience.
The atmosphere here is quite unlike anything I have heard in ambient techno. There’s something so beautiful with the album opening up with its first two tracks, Pop 1 and Pop 2, and just hearing the sounds of nature with some barebones melodies and large soundscapes.
