This was a pretty good album, I've heard that their more recent projects have a lot more of a pop sound to it so I probably wont be listening to that. But this album had a cool emo sound to it during some parts, and also pretty cool breakdowns. Favorite songs "Not The American Average", "A Prophecy".
I am starting to get somewhat bored of the symphonic and the multiple breakdowns in each song that are the same… but the last song did move it up for me a little bit, I did like some of the choruses and the ending to the EP was nice to hear because it wasn’t so brutal. I do think Hellhole was the best song though.
I thought this would be a lot better to be honest. But I think it was their first project so I can’t be too critical, there was some cool groovy moments and that was about it the rest was somewhat boring with mid riffs.
Another spite album where it’s mid all around it evens out between the bad and good songs.
So far this was for sure the best Spite album, I really liked the vocals a lot more, and the breakdowns were pretty neat too, some mid songs that I wouldn't mind not hearing again. But overall pretty nice record. Favorite song "Killzone".
Slightly worse than their first album but not too bad, I felt like there was nothing really special about this record, and to me it was somewhat boring.
Another decent Acacia Strain record, I do really like the lyrics and what they talk about like depression, death, and really meaningful stuff. I just feel like they could've done a better job executing.
This album was more unique than their previous 2, there were some good songs on here like "World Demise", and "Bridgepainter". There was some nice groove sections but they did repeat in a few different songs I noticed. And a 27 minute song? It wasn't bad but like c'mon..... a little unnecessary.
This album was kind of mid not going to lie, most of the songs sounded the same to me and there wasn't anything to unique or special on this record.
Honestly a huge drop off of their last record, there wasn't anything different between the songs that stood out to me. With me listening to a lot of death core I feel like it's harder to like average death core and I only look for the high quality and this doesn't really meet that standard for me. Favorite song "Beast".
this album was really solid I was hesitant to rate all of their records because of how many they have but they're all decent to good so why not? I really loved the groovy breakdowns some of these tracks had. Also the isolated riffs and drum section felt really good too hear. Some songs did though feel slightly repetitive which was expected. But very solid album. Favorite songs "Skynet", "Seaward", and "Stay Puft".
I mean like it's really repetitive with some odd samples, like every other PeelingFlesh project but there were a few cool parts in this record. But overall its meh.
This was mid I feel like it was pretty boring and most of the songs sounded the same, there's only a few pretty good songs.
I think this album is unique because of the interesting samples at the start or during of some of the songs, especially like the final track. I really like the calm track "Halcyon" I like how they can change it up and show some more raw emotion into a track.
I think the riffs are really cool especially on the first half of the record, there are some flaws on this album but for their first I'll cut them some slack obviously. Really cool drumming as-well. Favorite song "Killing on empty".
I can't tell if this genre is really for me but I do really like some of these songs. The slow guitars and vocals are super cool to me. I do really like the heaviness of this record though. Favorite songs "To Build A Mountain", "Repulsive In It's Splendid Beauty".
This album is really fun to listen to, I really like the sound in general the way it's really slowed down and the heavy screamy vocals. I have never heard of this record i'm shocked it's went this un-noticed. It's not really technical but I kind of like that it just slams. Favorite song "The Innocent".
