well it took me a whole year but i finally got around to listening to this album. for some reason my instagram feed has just been full of it recently, so I took it as a sign. and yeah, this shit is really fuckin good. her voice is amazing, the production is amazing, and its just top to bottom bangers. the runtimes here are seriously criminal though 😭😭

I don’t think it’s nearly as consistent as An Insatiable High, but holy hell the highs on this album are high. That first three track run? Absolutely nuts. Bonus points for the fact that I listened to it on the beach, my life peaked right then and there.
Favorite Track: BELEZA PURA
Least Favorite Track: STAR WARS SAMBA (undoubtedly a banger but it feels kinda gimmicky)
A testament to human creativity. Not every track is a hit for me but the whole time I was in awe of what I was listening to. hundreds upon hundreds of samples shaped into a beautiful album, and it was made in the year of our lord 2000??? I can't even imagine how long that would have taken. unbelievable. undoubtedly worth a listen, especially for the lifechanging title track.
Favorite Track: Since I Left You
Least Favorite Track: Summer Crane
while it doesn't quite hit me as hard as I hoped it would, this is still a very good, quaint, comforting listen. Adrianne Lenker's voice is as amazing as ever, the writing is fantastic, and it is very pleasing to the ears. not as good as dragon new warm mountain, but that is a pretty high bar, so that's hardly a criticism.
