I love a lot of the music that came out of New York in the 2000s, but I've tried many times to get into The Rapture, and they're just one of those Dance-Punk bands that I just can't seem to get into. It's decent at best, but sounds like a contemporary of its peers that were around and were to come as nothing truly stands out on this album.
Just about what I expected it to be, it’s uhhhh certainly a rage album first and foremost. Doesn’t do anything to reinvent the wheel tho
There's so much going on in this compared to their debut album. It's a departure from their hardcore sound to a more post-punk/goth-rockish. I'm conflicted on some tracks on whether I like them or not, but honestly, there were far worse punk albums in the 80s that came out.
