Truly an underrated masterpiece although short, it’s their funkiest and arguably most fun album since summer days (and summer nights). Carl pretty much carries it with his voice on most of the tracks but this feels more of a “Beach Boys” album as in all of the members being key parts and playing like a band again rather than “Brian Wilson featuring the wrecking crew and the rest of The Beach Boys” like Pet sounds and smile (and smiley smile).
