Mount Eerie - A Crow Looked at Me
95

Musically this album is like an 85, really amazing folk songwriting and lots of nice percussive sounds to keep you engaged. But, I gave this a 95, and not an 85. Mitski - Be the Cowboy
100

The pinnacle of pop songwriting. Mitski shines here with her incredible vocals and deep lyrics, bringing synths into the mix to wrap this up into her best album.

The Mountain Goats - All Hail West Texas
100

14 songs of incredible songwriting that Darnielle uses to carry out his incredible lyrics out into the world with just a guitar and his booming voice (and a keyboard, but just for one song).

Neutral Milk Hotel - On Avery Island
100

The noisier and more lo-fi younger brother of In The Aeroplane Over The Sea. A fantastical album that lifts you up into the air in a wave of guitar strings and other assorted instruments.

Songs: Ohia - The Magnolia Electric Co.

Beautiful, heartbreaking, intense, badass, the apex of music, my favorite album of all time and will most likely remain in that spot.
