"Ghosts" is just too fun of a song to give this album a bad rating. Sorry critics.
I *need* to relisten to this soon. This rating is imported from Musicboard where I listened early last year when I was still getting into music. It felt too wild and garage-band-ish then, but I've come to appreciate a few tracks off of this quite a bit.
This would be higher, but I just don't dig old man Sinatra's weepy night ballads. I much prefer his upbeat tracks in Songs for Swingin' Lovers.
Despite my high rating, I was a bit disappointed in this. None of Ric's vocals quite live up to some of his earlier mixtapes and Yellow Days's bass is good, but I wanted to hear his raspy voice in more of the tunes.
Essentially, I like both of these musicians so much that it was going to be tough to please me enough. Good EP regardless.
