In truth, In The Wee Small Hours may seem slightly dated to a new listener. .. But repeated listens reveal a rich, textured, warm album that creates a world any listener can immerse themselves in, should they so wish. It's just a quality album - and quality never goes out of fashion.

Oh yeah, we’re going way back for this album, 1955 for this one! The last two nights I lied in bed for a couple hours listening to this album while cuddling up with my teddy bear (this is not a joke, and I feel no shame whatsoever), and I felt at peace. There's a simplistic beauty to music like this and Frank's voice that puts me in a happy place I havent experienced in awhile, I just felt... happy. Frank Sinatra has a really nice voice. The whole album is full of songs that are really pleasant and easy listen to, however beyond the opening song, they're not really much more than that. The opener is really fantastic though.
