This is a really good song, can’t lie. Joey Bada$$ slid on this beat, Rapsody cooked on the chorus and Ab-Soul did his thing too. If every song on Lonely At The Top (top of what I don’t know) is like this then woah, is this gonna be good
This album is so beautiful. I listened to this at a very low point in my life and I cried like 3 times throughout this. It is very incoherent though, cause one second I’m crying, thinking about the meaning of life and the people around me, and then another second X is fucking screaming in my ear saying “SMASH! SMASH! SMASH! SMASH!” but this album really means a lot to me.
Rest in peace to XXXTENTACION ποΈ
I don’t care what other people say, I really enjoy this project. It is a bit too long, with some filler but there is a lot of quality.
This album shows that Offset can really thrive as his own artist, making an extremely solid project.
Favourites: SAY MY GRACE, HOP OUT THE VAN, NIGHT VISION
This is just the more rushed, less cohesive, more inconsistent and sloppier version of the first installation of this collaborative series by Future and Metro Boomin. This is more R&B and melodically focussed then its predecessor, with the second disc focussing more on hard hitting trap. This album did not need to be 1hr and 28 whole fucking minutes, did not need to have 25 songs and did not need to have 2 discs. Dare I say it, this didn’t even need to be a thing. Well maybe ... read more
I don’t know why but I can’t seem to enjoy almost any of LUCKI’s music. The whole drugged out, cup, mumbly style really isn’t my kind of thing. Like for most of that Lil Yachty verse I was like “what the fuck is bro saying??” The beat was actually pretty good, but what was layered on top of that was not
This is how trap music’s done. Future, arguably the biggest trap artist, and Metro Boomin, the biggest and arguably the best trap producer, coming together and making a collab album. (Well 2 but that’s another review.) It was destined for greatness. And well, it did live up to the hype. There isn’t a skip on this album. Sure, sure, call GTA a skip but it really isn’t that bad. Just a generic trap song. But on top of just being an amazing trap album, it is arguably the ... read more
People hate on this album way too much. It’s a great album. From the music videos to the features to the production, there’s barely any misses. For me the only mis is With The Fish but that’s not even a bad song, it’s just the weakest of the bunch. If people just listened to this album front to back, not reading any forced hate against, I think there will be a good chance you actually enjoy it. No, it’s not got any deep meaning, crazy double entendres, or any ... read more
I thought liked it more than I actually did, cause when I went back to it, half of the mixtape I was not really vibing with. LIL DEMON, SKI, TOO FAST, SOUTH OF FRANCE and LOST MY DOG are all standouts, but songs like PLUTOSKI and MADE MY HOE FAINT aren’t the best. Still a solid mixtape from Future
Beautiful album, very consistent.
Personal favourites: THE DINER, BIRDS OF A FEATHER, CHIHIRO
This album is not good, but tbh it was expected after the bad singles. Almost every song sounds the same, like I swear some have the same beat, just talking about girls and guns, no real substance, this does not sound like paradise
Amaarae is very hit and miss. I go into every song knowing it’s either gonna be a banger or not good. I was a bit disappointed as after reading some reviews of this, I had quite high expectations. Good album. Nothing more
This album is not as bad as people say. Is it really good? No. He should have just stayed in the lane that he was in, doing some features with country artists here and there. Like he was doing. Most of the good songs were carried by the chorus. Alright album.
PS: Wish we got that post Malone
Song on here
I don’t get why people are calling this album so good. Like people are really calling Live a groundbreaking song?! Like are we listening to the same thing?? This is clearly not for me. I’m sorry
I love the creativity and ambition on this project, as is with all Tyler, The Creator albums. He really does it different. Most of the songs I don’t like that much but I’ve got to give it at least an 80 just for the sheer scale and how boundary breaking this is
Another amazing collaboration between Fred again.. and Skepta. They really can’t miss. A full collab album between them would go HARDβΌοΈπ₯
