After John Michel and Anthony James drop their universally acclaimed "Egotrip", they run it back with the victory lap single "Miss Me," and contrary to the song title, this single did NOT miss. The potential from this duo is unfathomable, and I can only imagine what they will create in the next couple of years. I love talented and aspiring creatives like these, and they deserve the recognition they're receiving this year. They WILL make it big, I feel it.
Ok this album is kinda overhated I'm ngl it's not THAT bad. The lyrics may be dogsh*t and the concept it follows may be a cliche BUT the production shows incredible potential from JVKE. His overall creative process in production is pretty insane and you can see it. I really hope he drops a new album with a different theme soon with something similar to his recent drops cause his improvement can be seen very obviously.
Goddess + the other bonus tracks elevate this already BRILLIANT album. Truly love this reissue and totally worth my money at the record store :D
Brilliant album. I would definitely revisit this album frequently, more people should listen into his other works this really inspired me to listen to more of his discography.
THIS ALBUM FINALLY GOT A MUST LISTEN!!!!
Well deserved for Mei Semones, some of the most unique jazz/indie pop I've listened to up until now, and I'd highly recommend. It is extremely pleasing to the ears, and I am BEYOND excited to see her live SOON!!!!!!
Very good vocal jazz album. I would recommend, though, that his performances slowly become a bit more boring the further you go into the album. But I highly recommend!
Interesting EP. Not repetitive, but, in my opinion, not inventive either. It's a good, easy listen through, recommend.
Wouldve been better as a longer track. Its too majestic to be a minute long.
Nearly a perfect Christmas album. I found the random Fur Elise input so random, but hey, I LOVE classical music anyway. I wish there were more vocal songs, because man, they were peak.
Holy peak pop album I'm not gonna lie.
The songwriting it exceptionally catchy and one of the best pop albums I've listened to date.
Also cus I usually don't enjoy pop albums, but THIS IS THE SHIT.
GO WHITE GIRL GO
Fave Tracks:
Run Away With Me
Emotion
I Really Like You
Boy Problems
I love whatever genre of jazz this is.
Edit:
I was sitting on my daily commute, en route to a job I had been commissioned to do, and as Cancionera played, it shook me to my core. This album was absolute peak and nobody can tell me otherwise
HOLYYYYYY The first song got me on hook. The overall production, sampling, and energy of the entire album were incredible. It's so refreshing in every corner of the composition and overall just one of the best rap albums I've heard in this decade. Underrated ash.
Fave Tracks:
Don't Save Me
Confrontation
Egotrip
This may change in the future; it will probably grow on me, but for now, I have very mixed feelings on this album.
Favorite tracks
How Long? (Favorite out of all)
Lucette Stranded on the Island
Have You in my Wilderness
Didn't really get the hype as much, but it was overall a great album, but the production and such was incredible.
ALMOST a perfect album. Arcade Fire really went above my expectations for this album.
