really good ep, i liked the use of ambient noise and sometimes intentionally grating production. soon and night is young were easily my favorites, but honestly i didnt feel like any of the songs were weak. i've been loving my deep dive into shoegaze so far, night is young is definitely a standout track from all the lp's/ep's ive listened to thus far.
i really liked this!! with you on the sea at night, natsu no omoide, tegami, and ieji are all really great and well produced and just are good to listen to. i didnt love the other two songs but still great overall. might check out more from this artist in the future. im very glad i paid for it on bandcamp though
will certainly be listening to this again, probably many times. absolutely loved every song and the whole vibe of the LP. i didnt pay as much attention as i probably should have because i was studying while listening to this but i really really loved it. may update my review on another listen. but for now this is a pretty standout example of great japanese shoegaze.

man i just cant stop listening to this album its soooooo good. girl's functional group is like diet coke ... read more
Pretty darn good. Nothing mindblowing but I liked the general vibe. Nan Nan, World is Yours, and Aoi Koi stuck out to me as really good.
i'm just gonna word vomit as i listen because i dont feel like writing an actually nuanced review of a self-unaware nepo baby who paid their way into being an industry plant and desperately wants to be the next taylor swift or the next phoebe bridgers.
there is no way any person can be as uninspired and uninteresting as this music is. like any ounce of personality has been lost, its just a disappointingly mediocre voice over generic guitar with reverb and the occasional synth in the ... read more
I've been thinking this might be the case for some time but I've been hesitant to say it since, if you know anything about the vocaloid scene, this statement comes with a lot of gravity.
Iyowa is on a level of talent and mastery over the vocal synth technology that we haven't seen since wowaka released Unhappy Refrain. I had been thinking this since the first time I listened to Watashi no Heritage, but this album just cements it as fact for me. His production is so smooth, ... read more
i really liked it a lot!!! it flowed so well and was so cohesive in a way that not a lot of japanese rock tends to be but its something akfg has mastered. they really just killed it with this one. its not their best work imo because fanclub is simply transcendent in every way, but this album is certainly up there.
this album really fired on all cylinders. this is the best project ive ever heard from charli, i could listen to many of the tracks on this album over and over and never get sick of them. i expect ill be listening to this a lot the next few months and beyond
edit: after listening again, i'm not gonna change my score because i still think this album is amazing, but i did have a few more coherent thoughts. i liked the first half more than the second half which is why i took any points off at all ... read more
not really my favorite of theirs, it didn't sound too special or have any real standout tracks
I don't have detailed thoughts because I listened to it in multiple sittings but AKFG hasn't missed yet
something about this album feels so nostalgic to me, i just cant quite put my finger on what. but nevertheless i'm gonna attempt to do just that at risk of sounding cringe. it's really just magical, and reminds me a lot of the good times i had as a teenager in high school binge watching anime, playing visual novels, riding my bike to the community pool, googling "am i gay test" in bed at 1AM, exploring the woods around my small village-town, winning first place for backstroke at a ... read more
idk man... at best this album was par for the course and at worst it was extremely underwhelming. regardless of what you think about it as its own project, i feel like it's a significant step down from future nostalgia which is unfortunate. i thought a few of the songs were pretty alright. i don't really remember any of the songs except houdini which isn't really a good sign. i don't see myself ever really coming back to this album but it's entirely inoffensive so giving it anything below 50 ... read more
wow what an album. iyowa never disappoints, almost every track on this album is insanely good. the album has a cohesive sound and theming and there's just so many great songs. kyu kurarin is obviously a classic, but living millennium, adipocere, urapocere, apricot, and over! were all really great. i'm so beyond excited for his next album in june
this album is really great wow. the only song i didn't really vibe with was lunch. the songs all flow very smoothly and sound distinct and interesting while still having a very cohesive vibe. i had never really been too into billie's music but honestly i could see myself coming back to this many many times. i feel like this album is something really new for her and every risk she took really paid off. this is a far cry from the music that initially gained her popularity but i think the fact ... read more
give me an edible and make me listen to this again and it instantly goes up 5 points
very nostalgic song for me, i try to stick to rating albums on here unless the singles are especially good but this is one of my favorite songs ever and i had to rate it after stumbling upon it. im gay, but for men, so i can really connect with this song but also not really lol. depsite that i still love it so much. every time i listen to it it transports me back to a very specific, very precious moment in my life and that feeling is what makes music special to me.
