This album is insanely good, she knows how to maneuver every genre she explores and manages to make the album itself feel like a seamless listening experience. Only 1-2 tracks I didn't love. Akasaka Sad and Who's Gonna Save U Now are the best on this album

Not my favorite Lana album but still really wonderful. Her vocals and lyrics are beautiful as always but I didn't connect with as many tracks as I have on her other works that I've listened to.

Totally ethereal from start to finish. It perfectly encapsulates certain vibes and makes incredible music from them. 二本少年の夏 is my personal favorite, it makes me feel like I'm just a young kid playing animal crossing on the DS, swinging on the porch swing of our summer vacation home while there's a thunderstorm crashing down on us all over again.

My second favorite album of hers, just slightly less good than NFR. So so so many songs that I listen to on repeat and enjoy every time they come on shuffle. Off to the Races is peak btw

Easily her second best album. Not quite as good as Born to Die for me but it's a genuinely magical listening experience that I have to recommend to anyone even remotely interested in her music.

edit: in the middle of a relisten and i feel obligated to add that venice bitch is far and away the best music she has ever produced

edit 2: finished the relisten what fucking drugs was i on saying this was second place to born to die this is easily her magnum opus even having listened to ocean blvd

Absolutely cooked. Chappell Roan will certainly be one of the most critically acclaimed artists in the very near future

Leo/peak

The second half is peak and has literally zero skips but the first half is just ok imo. She has better albums but this is certainly one of her best.

edit: don't really know what drugs i was on saying this album is one of her best but i do still think it's better than some have been giving it credit for. im glad the general sentiment has agreed that the second half should have been the main album because it's literally insane how she's like 3/16 on the first half and 14/15 on the second half. ... read more
