This is basically just Teens of Denial: Youth Group Edition. A fully neutered version of the album for people’ who prefer everything to be stale & inoffensive. The Lion King Live Action Remake of CSH albums. They seriously need to get it together bc the 2020’s have been so rough to CSH.
Absolutely heartbreaking record. Once it grabs you it shakes you and cradles you and punches you and kisses you and fucking kills you and then brings you back to life and then pushes you down and then spits on you and then cleans you up. Whirlwind of emotions
Clancy is like that scene in Ratatouille where Anton Ego eats the ratatouille dish and gets flashbacks to when his mother used to cook it for him
