I'm not gonna sugarcoat it - this is good, and overhated. Obviously, there are some bars which are cornier than others, as well as some pretty problematic references and themes, but at this point it's kind of a staple for JPEGMAFIA's albums. Alright, boppy, fun, but doesn't really do all that much to me. Feels very by-the-books for an EDM track. I much more prefer the highly energetic hyperpop sound of FEM&M, but I'd love to hear more House-ish experimentation from her. I just wish it was a little more unapologetic.
Hey, I get it. I like it, it's nice, it makes me wanna shake my ass, and it makes me get through even the toughest of reps at the gym. I also didn't dislike the lyrics. In fact, I liked them a lot, but it's very short, and some of the beats felt undercooked. Definitely not as bad as some people make it out to be.
Poppy, at times sorta corny fun. A few songs I found boring, but I can't deny the fact, that this whole project is INSANELY addictive. The sound is just like no other, and I really dig the lyrical layer as well. I'm definitely going to torture some people with this record on the next function I go to.
