You're floating gently in the middle of a secluded lake. White pines line the shores, and you can hear the breeze as it whispers through their needles and intertwining boughs. The sounds of nature are interrupted only by the sounds of water lapping on the sides of your boat. You feel the weight of the world shed from your shoulders as you exhale a deep, meditative breath, giving in to the overwhelming calm around you. This album takes me there, and I return to it often.

Like many others, Radiohead didn't resonate with me at first. I completely understand the praise this receives after giving it just a handful of listens. I want to slap some sense into my younger self for completely missing the boat on this album. Every song just continues to improve with time. My personal favorites have been "No Surprises" and "Exit Music (For a Film)".

Buttery smooth throughout, this EP is an easy listen from cover to cover at only 26 minutes. Personal highlights are "Roll the Bones" and "Late July." Something about the laid-back vibe and raw vocals sets the hook every time. In my opinion, this EP sets the perfect vibe when firing up the grill or sitting by a fire.

This is my first review on AOTY after years of lurking, and I wanted to start with a long-time personal favorite. I remember walking to middle school with my Walkman, playing this album from start to finish for months on end. Almost eighteen years later, the album resonates in the same way.
