Faintly Macabre - Faintly Macabre
94

Hey everyone. I know I haven't been so active lately. There's a whole lot of new music I haven't gotten to, but it's all because I spent this much time working on recording my band's debut album. We were all 17-19 at the time of production.

Months ago, I joined this band, Faintly Macabre as a bassist, hoping to get some experience playing in bands and maybe recruit collaborators for my own music in the future. But the more I played with them, the more I fell in love ... read more

Bill Wurtz - off the map

This new bill wurtz single is great, it's kinda prog, jazzy, and is better than most of the songs he dropped before the hiatus, so I'm happy. Welcome back, Bill. We've missed you.

Roger Hodgson - In the Eye of the Storm

This makes me want to listen to more solo albums by members of bands I like, because holy shit, this Roger Hodgson solo album is better than nearly every Supertramp album I've heard!

An instant classic of the Grand Rapids scene.

For those who aren't in the know, Ocean and the Universe are a band making waves (pun intended) in the Grand Rapids Michigan scene, because... well frankly, everything about it is genius. It's all masterminded by one guy, the titular Ocean. A lot of his previous songs had a certain midwest emo vibe to them, but on this album he chose to bring in influences of psychedelia, soul, and hip-hop. And all these eclectic influences blend together ... read more

The Kinetic Object Project - Message 1 + Wind East

My guitarist is so peak, he's releasing a solo album soon, and this is the first taste. If you wanna hear what Faintly Macabre's guitarist sounds like in his purest element, check this out and stay tuned for the album!

Eve 6 - Horrorscope

Horrorscope is an incredibly fun, high-octane electro-pop-punk album. It is certainly not for everyone, but I just got done listening and it's already gone triple platinum in my heart.
