This makes me want to listen to more solo albums by members of bands I like, because holy shit, this Roger Hodgson solo album is better than nearly every Supertramp album I've heard!
Pretty much every song on here is a banger, produced with state-of-the-art quality for the time. For those who aren't in the know, Ocean and the Universe are a band making waves (pun intended) in the Grand Rapids Michigan scene, because... well frankly, everything about it is genius. It's all masterminded by one guy, the titular Ocean. A lot of his previous songs had a certain midwest emo vibe to them, but on this album he chose to bring in influences of psychedelia, soul, and hip-hop. Horrorscope is an incredibly fun, high-octane electro-pop-punk album. It is certainly not for everyone, but I just got done listening and it's already gone triple platinum in my heart.
