This album is appropriately called Ruby, because it’s a pure gem. Whoever says music has lost all soul clearly has never heard Gray’s new album.
Ruby is another Macy Gray knockout that is all at once friendly and familiar for the faithful, but still strangely fresh enough to draft the type of buzz that adorned her very first recording all those years ago.
Ruby is simply a beautiful body of work.
Ay there's some fun soul and funky jams on this thing. Someone out there: please go listen to it.

Great listen. the instrumentation is so much fun and Macy sounds really good. Sugar Daddy was really off compared to the rest of the album
