This is a studio Frankenstein of live clips and found sounds. While Frith attests to the occurrence of many "happy accidents," the album comes across confidently and more often more coherent than merely challenging.

A mighty album which shifts from carnivalistic mayhem to peripatetic pathos, to dark atonal majesty, to surreal fusion, and upbeat-downbeat forays out of cross-cultural gypsy industrial bizarreness, into mechanistic angular lyrical continental drifts. Even Satie-esque in parts.
Not your average album.

Described as "a mixture of folk music, free improvisation, avant-rock and noise."
To my ears it still sounds incredible now. Essential.
