On Supreme Clientele 2, the Wu-Tang legend does his classic original justice with an outrageously entertaining sequel.
The beats are bumpin', the writing stays airtight, and the sequencing makes the 22 tracks play like channels on a late-night marathon. Ghostface doesn’t try to outrun his classic; he builds beside it.
With 22 tracks it’s self-evident that not everything lands ... Additionally, some of the material here was completed in the 00s and then shelves – while the extra production work is effective, a few songs wind up sounding dated.
Supreme Clientele 2 reinforces that while Ghostface could probably use a better “editor,” he still possesses an abundance of talent. Tying this release to a project as venerated as Supreme Clientele probably isn’t doing it any favors. Regardless, I can just pretend its named something else and enjoy it for its dopest moments.
GFK comes up a bit short trying to recapture the glory days on Supreme Clientele 2.
Ghostface ordered a 5 course meal in code, paid with Monopoly money and still walked out with chef’s hat and the waitress’ number.
This was way better than the last album, Ghost proved everyone wrong, who predicted this album to be bad like the last, many decent tracks man. Ghost is doin amazin.
Least favourite tracks: Sample 420, Curtis May, Soul Thang (still pretty decent)
Favourites: George Porgy, Break Beats, Love Me Anymore, The Trial, Candyland, The Zoom
Best track 👑 : You Ma Friend.
The entirety of this album is amazing, even the skits are hilarious 😭
Decreased Rating due to recycled beats
Underwhelming, disappointing
Look, I was never the biggest 'Supreme Clientele' guy, I like 'Iron Man' more. But I thought the first Supreme Clientele album was somehow decent, when it was announced that Part 2 was coming, I was pretty curious to see what Ghostface Killah has to offer, and when it came out, it disappointed me so much. First of all, I think the album has too many tracks. And most of them are pretty short. He could've just made a 12 tracks album being 48 ... read more
Baştan sona harika flowlar ile dolu bir albüm. Söz yazımını da çok beğendiğim özellikle You Ma Friend'i baya sevdim. Beatler çok özel değil ama kötü duyulmuyor. Wu-Tang üyelerinin solo albümlerinden beklediğimiz gibi güzel düetler var.
