Absolutely guttural and sharp, and it beats the listener senseless with absolutely no breaks or remorse. This album is incredibly muddy, but it’s also just clean enough for everything to be perfectly balanced and come together in bloody harmonies. Shoutouts to this bassist too. Holy hell, this is honestly my pick for the quintessential sludge metal album.
