Muse is bright prog rock with singing high leads. The album has a solid set of features and some really sweet hooks. Muse is basic sounding though and I can barely hear any bass action from Clay :( I swear, all the guitar tones sound literally the same, wut

Polyphia’s debut sounds epic in the same way that the main theme of Sonic ‘06 “His World” sounds, which is to say that my 10-year old self would find this album absolutely, mind-blowingly awesome. Seriously- listen to “His World” and tell me it isn’t an accurate comparison

This is the only polyphia project i have listened to where there are songs i actually want to come back to. I feel like the bass is a little quiet tho 🥲

Enjoyable but many songs feel too similar

Polyphia's debut album has glimpses of what's to come later on, with some cool bangers as Memory, Hourglass and Baditude. It's clearly not their best, but it holds together nicely.
