ok, im 100% convinced that this is AI. dude has Trump level of excuses and an army of goons. The video "proof" made me even more suspicious. what do you mean you can't show the midi for the PMS? the one thing that could prove that these sounds are not AI generated? + the fact that dude is studying engineering (and jerking off about how hard it is and anyone who knows what he's studying knows how hard it is etc etc) makes me only believe that he knows how to work these AI gen models.

Also, @PinkEel, if you actually care as much about music as you claim, relieve people from the insecurity whether they are enjoying the work of an AI or whether this has artistic meaning by being produced through the intentional decisions of a talented human. I am not saying this is AI, but you are acting suspiciously, since if you had actually produced this yourself, it would be a matter of minutes to just prove this once and for all by showing the detailed project files (not the bit in the video, that doesn’t prove anything since you don’t show individual tracks and it could just as well be a file you got from AI and dragged into production software), or by for example showing how you created a sound that let people think this was fake.

I want to give my opinion on this mess of a discussion, as someone who has just been observing it semi-regularly for the past weeks.

It is insane to me, how a small group of people can shift a discussion to look as one-sided as this one (if you just look at the majority of the comments of e.g. the last week in this section here as a clueless outsider) just by being loud and reinforcing each other, replying to each other, repeating empty statements over and over again and making it seem like they are a living part of a real discussion, when in reality they are just acting up a facade, not even being close to engaging in any meaningful way.

I don’t know how to feel about this lp, in some ways it’s really great and fun and really original. I like the sound quite a lot. But I don’t want to get attached to something that turns out to be ai. Just ai music is never this good.
