"Restless" begins the project, pleasant and pretty piano to start. Great vocals presence from Sharon as well of course. The drums simple but effective, the heaviness follows suit as well. A good accent to the vocals and beauty, smooth leadwork for the melodic solo. I like the subtle ballad style groove as it approaches the final 1:30 or so. Nice start to the project, excellent beauty in the composition.

This is the debut album of Within Temptation, which is very different from their albums after, it has a much more gothic and darker sound with no symphonic metal elements present. It is a gothic metal album with slight hints of doom metal. It has the metal growls that aren't present on their newer works.
