While Pacifier has garnered unfair comparisons to the aforementioned Korn, it would be wrong to dismiss this band as just another aggro group looking to ride someone's coattails.
The three records Nothingface released after this absolutely clear it, but Pacifier still stands as a relatively fun mid-90s nu metal record, at least as fun as an album this dark can be. A lot of it feels derivative of Korn, both in sound and lyricism, but it's also a lot more aggressive, with some proto-Slipknot moments in a few of the tracks, especially in the vocals. The first three songs are SO FUCKING GOOD, but immediately after that the album flatlines, wish they stuck to making catchy songs like the title track, instead of making the same song like six times.
