It´s raw and ugly - sometimes to the point it´s uncomfortable. Less like the anger and existential dread of something like death metal (the good parts of death metal - I find a fair share of it sounds all too similar and then a certain type of person goes "too br00tal for you bro?" no sir, it´s too boring) - this is much more like childish temper tantrum from a man who is letting loose the demons he never processed. That´s why I think some people dislike Korn ... read more
I have a Prince tattoo on my shoulder, Purple Rain is the greatest pop record to ever grace mankind. This album is one of his more middle of the road experiences.
I say that fully acknowledging this is still chock full of that charm only Prince bring - those “Prince-isms” that is 100% unique to him - I mean, there really is no one making music like this besides him so even when I’m left feeling sort of unstimulated by his stuff - I can’t deny he is completely in his own ... read more

There is nothing on this record that hits me like an all time favourite but I somehow both LOVE the album and I’m not entertained.
I can’t explain this kind of relationship with music ... read more
